SKUU sits in the middle as the neutral layer. AfterShip Returns only ever exchanges data with SKUU, never directly with another shop.

AfterShip Returns gives webshops a self-service return center with return rules, exchanges and store credit, alongside AfterShip's tracking. Many SKUU shops already run it, so network orders use the same return center as every other order.

SKUU makes sure the return reaches the right place: the label and return data route the parcel to the partner shop that shipped it, and the money between the shops is settled automatically. Available on request.

How connecting works

    Connect

    AfterShip Returns links to SKUU through the native connector or the SKUU Connect REST API. Nothing about your storefront, checkout or daily workflow changes.

    Match

    Your catalogue is matched against the network on barcode and article code, and verified in a test mode before anything goes live.

    Route

    From then on, out-of-stock sales can route to partners with stock, and partner sales can route to you. Every parcel ships white-label under the selling shop's brand.

How do returns of network orders work with AfterShip Returns?
The customer starts the return in the selling shop's AfterShip Returns portal, in that shop's branding, exactly like any other return. SKUU knows which partner shipped the item and routes the parcel and the return data back there, so the stock lands where it came from.
Who refunds the customer?
The selling shop, the way it always does through AfterShip Returns. SKUU settles the return with the fulfilling partner automatically in the next settlement cycle, so nobody has to chase money between shops.
Does SKUU replace AfterShip Returns?
No. AfterShip Returns stays the customer-facing returns portal with your rules, reasons and refund options. SKUU only adds the network layer underneath: routing returns to the right partner and keeping both partners' stock and administration correct.
